Dr. Vijay Kelkar is an eminent economist, a widely acclaimed academician and a distinguished public servant, who has been at the forefront of India's Liberalization process.

He is greatly revered for his exemplary work in the fields of economics, education and for his exceptional service to the nation. As recognition of his huge contributions, the Government of India has honoured Dr. Kelkar with the country's second highest civilian award, 'Padma Vibhushan', in 2011.

Dr. Kelkar has held several important positions at various ministries of the Government of India and at top international organizations during his long career.

His stint with the Government began at the Planning Commission in 1973 and thereafter, he went on to serve in various important positions– as the Economic Advisor to the Union Finance Minister in 1977, followed by Petroleum Secretary, Finance Secretary of India and finally retiring as the Chairman of the Thirteenth Finance Commission in January 2010. He was also the Executive Director of India in the International Monetary Fund (IMF), overseeing its operations in South Asia during 2000-02. He was elected as the Chairman of the Forum of Federations, Ottawa, Canada 2010-13).

He is currently the Chairman of the PPP Committee and Chairman of the Gas Pricing Committee.

Dr. Kelkar holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, a M.S. from University of Minnesota and a B.S. from the University of Pune.

Dr. Ajay N. Shah is a renowned exponent of policy reforms in Capital Markets and the financial services sector of India. As an outstanding academician and economist, he is a much-sought after consultant in economy and finance-related policy matters of the government. He has been a part of several think-tank organizations and research institutions, engaged in academic and policy-oriented research in the fields of Indian economic growth, open economy macroeconomics, public finance, financial economics and pensions.

Dr. Shah has been part of the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPF), New Delhi since 2007 and currently co-leads its Macro/Finance Group. Prior to this, he was a consultant at Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance from 2001 to 2005. Earlier, he was part of the faculty at the Indira Gandhi Institute for Development Research (IGIDR) and also served as the President at Centre For Monitoring Indian Economy Pvt. Ltd., Bombay. He is also part of the Expert Committee on General Anti Avoidance Rules (GAAR).

Dr. Shah is a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Southern California, Los Angeles and a B. Tech. in Aeronautical Engineering, from the prestigious IIT, Bombay.

Mr. Pramod Kabra is an expert in corporate affairs with a vast industry experience of over 30 years.

He currently serves as a Partner at True North (formerly India Value Fund Advisors) , a premier private equity investment fund. At True North, he is a part of the business management team involved in supporting and building True North companies across various sectors, including in cable and ISP services, logistics, transportation, media, FMCG, financial services, microfinance and radio taxi services.

Prior to joining the fund house in 2007, he spent 23 years with the consumer goods multi-national Unilever, working in various global leadership roles and managing multi-cultural, multi-functional teams across the organization. During his two-decade-long stint with the company, he garnered extensive experience in the areas of strategy, finance, M&A, supply chain and innovations. He served as a board member for the Global Home Care Category Team and as head of Treasury for the Asia and Africa region before quitting the organization in 2007.

Mr. Kabra is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the prestigious Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He graduated in commerce from Jai Narain Vyas University in 1979.

Mr. Vikram Nirula is a Partner at True North (formerly India Value Fund Advisors). He is one of the key members responsible for setting up the private equity firm.

Based in Mumbai, he currently oversees investments for the fund house in diverse industries including consumer, retail, financial services and industrials, amongst others. He is also involved in fund raising and investor relations activities.

He joined True North as the Fund Manager in 2000 and became a part of the core team that worked relentlessly in the formative years of the firm – ensuring its successful launch and then raising the first fund. In his role as a Fund Manager, he leveraged his prior experience and wide network in the community of investment bankers to develop and strengthen the deal pipeline.

Prior to joining True North, he worked for Andersen in their financial consulting and corporate finance practice as an Engagement Manager, responsible for telecom clients. He has also served as Manager in the Global Corporate Finance Group and handled sectoral responsibility for the telecom business.

Mr. Nirula holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He also has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology.

Mr. Divya Sehgal serves as a Partner at True North (formerly India Value Fund Advisors). He joined True North in 2010.

Mr. Sehgal is currently part of the business management team of the private equity fund. He is based in Mumbai and works closely with various True North companies in the radio taxi and microfinance segments.

Prior to True North, he worked with Apollo Health Street (AHS), a leading healthcare outsourcing firm and one of the top five in its space globally, for almost a decade. He was founder and Chief Operating Officer of AHS and handled various other important portfolios during his tenure with company. With his background in corporate strategy, business management and operations, he was responsible for delivering the highest level of services to Apollo's clients, which includes leading providers and payers based in the US.

Before joining Apollo in 2001, Mr. Sehgal worked as a Consultant at McKinsey, with the corporate finance team at ANZ and as an entrepreneur at Emedlife, one of the first corporate healthcare advisory firms in India that eventually merged with the Apollo group.

Mr. Sehgal has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (Delhi).

Mr. Srikrishna Dwaram is a Partner at True North (formerly India Value Fund Advisors).

He is a part of the Fund Management Team at True North and is involved in evaluating and executing True North's investments in the logistics and supply chain, media and entertainment and auto ancillary industries. He also plays a key role in developing perspective, sourcing and evaluating opportunities in the energy and financial services sectors.

Mr. Dwaram joined True North in 2006 as an Associate in Fund Management and previously served as a Fund Manager. In this role, he was responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, assisting in the exit process of portfolio companies, and in raising debt for portfolio companies.

Prior to joining True North, he had nearly six years of exposure in manufacturing, automobile, and financial services sectors. He was a part of the core team at Yes Bank, helping set up operations and the Bank's IPO. He also worked with Maruti Udyog Ltd. and Kirloskar Oil Engines and also had a stint in the planning and strategy division of ICICI Bank, where he completed the ICICI - ICICI Bank merger.

Mr. Dwaram also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM, Ahmedabad. He is a gold medal winning Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Warangal.

Mr. Anil Kumar Choudhary is a veteran in the banking and business management industry. In the course of his 34 years of association with various economically-critical industries, he has handled with great deft and skill numerous challenging and high-profile roles in the areas of agriculture, farm & SME lending, international & branch banking and presently, as the head of the NBHC management, in developing a well-entrenched ecosystem for complete commodity and collateral management.

Prior to joining NBHC in 2006, he was initially put on deputation at the Multi-Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) by State Bank of India (SBI). Earlier, during his 24-year-long stint in the banking industry with SBI, he handled various significant portfolios, including heading SBI's San Jose (California) office and opening its new office in Central Valley of California (Fresno) and making it profitable in a short time.

Mr. Choudhary led the CII delegation to the Parliament's Standing Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, to present the industry's viewpoint on the Warehousing (Development & Regulation) Bill, 2005. He is also a Member on the FICCI-Working Committee for Commodities as well as a Member of FICCI – Committee on Agriculture..

Rajiv has joined True North with effect from April 1st, 2017 and is based in Mumbai where he is involved in building and managing businesses primarily in the financial services sector. An MBA from IIM, Lucknow and an alumnus of IIT, Delhi, Rajiv has over 26 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. Prior to joining True North, Rajiv was an Executive Director on the Board of ICICI Bank where he was responsible for several businesses including retail banking, business banking, rural banking and financial inclusion business. Prior to this, Rajiv has had successful stints with Sequoia Capital, Godrej Group, SRF Finance, GE Capital and Times Bank.
